WSIS Forum 2013 will be held from 13 to 17 May 2013 and will provide structured opportunities to network, learn and to participate in multi-stakeholder discussions and consultations on WSIS implementation. This event builds upon the tradition of annual WSIS May meetings, and its new format is the result of open consultations with all WSIS Stakeholders.
Fraud Investigation and Control Conference, Kuala Lumpur (16th- 17th May 2013)
IMPACT’s cybersecurity expert Erik Silfversten presented on issues on advances in the cyber threat landscape, an update on global trends and practices in e – crime. He also highlighted the severity of the cyber threat landscape and the necessity to adopt global best practices in the fight against e-crimes.
The two-day conference organised by the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI) begins on May 16, is designed to educate key stakeholders and decision makers on the current trend in cyber crimes, its severity and ways to protect their organisation and respond to these threats. It target audience are those responsible for designing and coordinating information security, safeguarding IT assets and sensitive information and protecting data.
5th annual FutureGov Forum, Indonesia (15th May 2013)

Digital Forensic Assessment, Sudan (5th - 8 th May 2013)
ITU-IMPACT conducted a digital forensic assessment in Sudan, as part of an effort to enhance the country’s cybersecurity readiness. The three-day assessment was an exercise in collaboration with the National Telecommunication Corporation of Sudan. It includes the study of existing infrastructures, digital forensic capabilities and more importantly, its readiness to address cyber threats.
